Thursday mornings at Telpay are pretty awesome, because that’s when our Cleaning Crew work hard to keep our office sparkling. Kosty, Kyle and Bryce, along with their supervisor Alex, are from Work and Social Opportunities (WASO) program.
Since 1981, WASO has been working to support adults with intellectual disabilities. With several locations around Winnipeg, WASO is an extremely valuable resource that provides this support with social, recreational and employment opportunities. Both corporate and non-profit organizations seek out the skills of the individuals supported by WASO when hiring for various positions.
In addition to keeping things tidy, there are high-fives, laughter and conversations. Kyle knows all about the Jets or Bombers and is a big Pink Floyd fan. Kosty keeps us informed on the latest television shows and Bryce, well he is still a little shy. After getting the job done, the crew jams with Jack and Lisa from our house band — Telpay and the Direct Deposits. So if you ever walk into our office or phone on Thursday morning and hear “live music,” now you know.
WASO Thursdays Rock! Telpay is proud of our ongoing support of WASO. We are even prouder to have Kosty, Kyle, Bryce and Alex, as part of our extended Telpay Family.
