The Canadian Payments Association (CPA) Biennial Conference is the premier payments related conference in Canada. This years’ Panorama 2014 took place in Charlottetown on June 25-27. With over 20 featured speakers, these industry and government leaders provided a strategic perspective and insight into the payments industry.
The CPA was created by the Canadian Payments Act in 1980. The CPA is a not-for-profit organization that plays a leadership role in providing safe and efficient clearing and settlement systems to member financial institutions trust companies, credit unions and direct deposit companies.
In attendance from Telpay were Chris Epp-Vollrath, President and John Zajic, Manager of Trust Operations. In addition to learning about the latest issues and trends in the Canadian payment landscape, another highlight was meeting Canadian astronaut Col. Chris Hadfield, who was the keynote speaker.
