On October 29, Telpay attended the star studded 2014 Manitoba Business Awards (MBiz Awards), hosted by Ace Burpee of Virgin 103 Radio that took place at the Victoria Inn Hotel in Winnipeg. The MBiz Awards were established in 1983 by the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce to recognize and celebrate outstanding business and individual achievements by the Manitoba business community.
Telpay was thrilled to be a finalist in the Long Term Achievement category and would like to congratulate Arctic Co-operative Limited, who were the winners in the Long Term Achievement category. Established in Winnipeg in 1972, Arctic Co-operatives is owned and controlled by 31 community-based Co-operative business enterprises that are located in Nunavut and Northwest Territories. With revenues of $190.7 million in 2013, the Co-ops operate retail facilities, hotels, cable operations, construction, outfitting, arts and crafts production and property rentals.
